The Learning Express offers a variety of activities that take place throughout the year. Some activities take place at the center while others are through outside programs that may require an additional fee.
Classes offered by outside programs are open to children 2 years and older.
Outside Programs
These programs cost an additional fee and are independent of our center. Payments must be made directly to them.
Dance Classes provided by LKNGA
A variety of dance classes are offered for TLE families. Office staff walk children to LKNGA (next door) on Friday mornings. Reach out to LKNGA for pricing and availability.
Gymnastics Classes provided by LKNGA
Gymnastics classes are offered for TLE families. Office staff walk children to LKNGA (next door) on Thursday mornings. Reach out to LKNGA for pricing and availability.
Soccer Classes provided by Soccer Shots
Soccer classes are offered on our playground once a week during spring, summer, fall, and winter sessions. Reach out to Soccer Shots for pricing and schedules.
Computer Classes provided by Mr. Bill
STEM education classes are provided by Mr. Bill twice a month at our center. Children are introduced to computer use, robotics, and other technology. Contact Mr. Bill to sign up. Classes are $20 per month.
Center Hosted Activities & Events
Fun Fridays
Different themes are given each Friday for the children and staff to participate in. Some examples include Silly Sock Day and Crazy Hair Day.
Visit from Community Helpers
During community helpers month, we invite local first responders and other community helpers to teach the children about safety and their jobs.
Kona Ice Truck
In the summers, we invite the Kona Ice truck to visit the center each week. Cups are $2 each and all ages can participate with parent permission.
Easter Egg Hunt
Around Easter, the center hosts an Easter egg hunt on the playground. Classes take turns collecting eggs and prizes.
Seasonal Festivals
In the fall or winter, TLE hosts a fall festival or jolly jamboree where vendors can set up and the children can participate in various games and activities. These are fundraisers for the center.
Center Trick-or-Treating
The children and staff are encouraged to dress up. Staff lead the classes around the center to collect treats from the other classrooms.
Pre-Kindergarten Graduation
Each summer, TLE hosts a pre-kindergarten graduation.
Pre-Kindergarten Field Trips
Each year, the Pre-Kindergarteners take a field trip to the pumpkin patch in the fall and Lazy 5 Ranch in the spring. Parent chaperones are required.
